From retinal imaging to viewing glands, we are fully equipped to make certain your eyes are healthy and to diagnose and treat conditions you may or may not be aware of. Your eye health is vital to your vision and is a window to the health of your entire body. Here at Eye Center of Houston, Dr. Faheem will make you confident that your eyes are getting the absolute best care and that our examination can catch issues before symptoms arise.

Optomap Retinal Imaging

The mother of invention is necessity, and this machine was realized through the need to find and diagnose issues before they become irreversible.

The Optos is the most advanced retinal imaging camera. It takes an amazingly detailed picture of the back of your eye, the retina, which is vital to your vision and can even reveal health issues that you may not be aware of like glaucoma, diabetes, cardiovascular issues (like high blood pressure, hypertension and stroke), rheumatoid arthritis, tumors, cancer and more. This machine can literally save your life!

Optic Wash

Like a car wash for your glasses!

This machine eliminates 99% of bacteria on your glasses, watches and jewelry without the use of chemicals. Routine cleaning is a great idea for your glasses since they are on your face daily! A spray and lens cloth to clean these items are fine, but like everything else you use, an occasional deep clean is essential to keeping bacteria at a minimum.

Stop by and take her for a spin! Everyone’s first wash is FREE.

BlephEx

Blepharitis is a common condition with symptoms including dry and itchy eyelids. This can lead to loss of meibomian glands and even eyelashes.

While there currently is no cure, treatment is essential to prevent the progression of the condition. BlephEx uses a soft sponge to gently and thoroughly clean your eyelids using tea tree oil, which is naturally antiseptic.
